Joe Cole: “The big mistake Chelsea have made, they have gone down the route of getting young players, trying to develop them and letting them grow as assets. I think you need senior players around the young players to help them develop and learn. That’s where the problem is."
@siphillipssport I’m happy for eg Nick Jackson to learn his trade at #CFC & become potentially a great here. But he needs to be the back up striker to someone who’s been there & done it in terms of clinical goal scoring. Jackson & Sterling have missed too many chances this season in eg big games!
@siphillipssport That’s the first mistake the board did and we all suffering from it
@siphillipssport Why can’t the owners admit that they got it wrong
@siphillipssport @MobyChe We all know the problem, nobody is providing solutions
@siphillipssport They will drive Silva out and that's our defence in shambles for the next I donno how many seasons
@siphillipssport The big mistake all these English clubs have is the American ownerships. Todd Boehly with Chelsea, Man United with the Glazers. Chelsea were never that bad under Roman Abramovich
@siphillipssport I agree with Joe Cole. The Real Madrid model is there for any forward-thinking owner to use. Having said that, I dont think that is the biggest problem. The biggest problem is not having a coach who can grow them and build in them a strong and winning mentality.
@siphillipssport Speaking the obvious. Mudryk though…. Makes me want Russia to win.
