@RealBrysonGray Jesus literally rebukes him & says put the sword in its place/sheath. He says “two swords are enough” so not all disciples were strapped. Might say carry a sword sometimes but doesn’t say when to use it. Only says not to use it. What’s the meaning of the ear being cut off?
@sirquestalot @RealBrysonGray I’d say use the sword to protect yourself and your family.. it’s also very good at warding off potential threats.. Having it on you to protect your family or others who are in need of protection is a good thing.,
@sirquestalot @RealBrysonGray He takes so much at face value without the context of the whole bible to fit his feelings. He seems to like to cause division. He thinks we should celebrate the Sabbath. Then he'll post a verse saying to but not the context. Its what slave owners would do.
@sirquestalot @RealBrysonGray Exodus tells us one spot we can use it. ”If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him,“ Exodus 22:2 ESV bible.com/bible/59/exo.2…
@sirquestalot @RealBrysonGray Because, in that moment, Peter was using the sword to interfere with God’s plan to have Jesus crucified.
