Truth Discipleship Ministry @skycop87

Brothers & Sisters in Christ, Sylvia & I prayerfully ask the Lord what He would have you give to Truth Discipleship Ministry—whether a monthly commitment or a one-time gift. As 2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us, ‘Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ Your partnership helps us continue making disciples in the truth of God’s Word. @TrumpBarron_Q @LeaderJohnThune A. Yes!!!

@ksorbs May God bless you & keep you. May He guide the doctor's hands & grant you comfort during recovery.

@ksorbs Had my right knee replaced in January. It's a long road of recovery, first from the surgery itself, then the joint settling in. But it so worth it. I was walking the day of surgery & my knee felt better than before 4 months in. Still recovering, but every week is better & better.

Jesus never said that.

Wes Huff on sexuality and the Bible: "The world is prolifically sexual and doesn't see sex as sacred, whereas Christianity says sex is sacred, because bodies are sacred, and image bearers (of God) are sacred."

Women say they are in disbelief the Government is shut down and won't give them food stamps... they're starving?

Say it a little louder please!!!

@LiZhaoBNB 100k to start a ministry in Sierra Leone, Western Africa to train up pastors & ministers who cannot afford to go to a Bible college. We will also be partnering with orphanages, where kids don't get to go to school unless they have a sponsor, to bring the schools to them.

My grandbaby just received Christ as her savior! We are going to talk to pastor Sunday to be baptized. To God be the glory!

Please pray for me & my household as we transition to this new season & to a new country. I am so looking forward to what God has in store for us. Blessing upon you.

Today I am 14 years old. On the way home from a men's conference, I was born again into Christ. I have been on a journey of sanctification & education that has put me on a path to begin a ministry in Sierra Leone, a country in western Africa. We launch in June of next year.

God's design for sex is holy. Stop telling teenagers its OK to have sex with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Stop expecting college students to just conform to hook up culture before they get married. Stop excusing porn. #SexualPurity #HolySexuality

If we treated our Bibles like our phones!

Correcting a Common Misreading of the Bible: When people hear the words of Jesus saying turn the other cheek they often think He is commanding surrender. They imagine that Jesus calls us to retreat or to let others walk over us. But this is not what He meant In the world of the first century a slap on the right cheek was not about injury but about public insult. It was a way of treating someone as less than human, humiliating or challenging them By telling His followers to turn the other cheek Jesus was not telling them to accept humiliation in silence. He was teaching them to stand their ground in a way that refused violence yet also refused surrender. He commands us to stand our ground Think about it. If you strike me on the right cheek with your right hand you must do so as a backhanded slap. That was the gesture of a master to a servant. To turn the other cheek forces the aggressor into a choice. They must either strike with the open hand which acknowledges equality or they must stop. In this way the victim has exposed the injustice without becoming violent, and standing their ground Jesus is not teaching weakness. He is teaching a higher strength. To turn the other cheek is not to bow down in fear but to rise up in dignity. It is a holy act of resistance. It refuses to mirror hatred yet it refuses to give ground to evil. It shows the world that the children of God will not be defined by insults Meekness does not mean weakness So when you hear those words do not picture surrender. Picture courage. Picture a man or woman who will not be broken by the cruelty of others. Picture the strength of Christ who on the cross refused to curse His enemies and yet triumphed over them all Never surrender Never submit This is the way of the Kingdom. Not weak submission but holy defiance. Not revenge but victory through courage and resilience in the face of adversity

The man who died next to Jesus had nothing. No baptism. No communion. No confirmation. No speaking in tongues. No mission trip. No volunteering. No financial gifts. No church clothes. He couldn't even bend his knees to pray. Nails through his wrists meant no folded hands. No sinner's prayer crossed his lips. No altar call for a dying criminal. He was naked. Bleeding. Worthy of death under the law. Jesus didn't remove his pain. Didn't heal his broken body. Didn't silence the crowd mocking them both. Didn't bring him down from that cross. The thief had no testimony to share. No before-and-after transformation story. No time to prove his faith was real. No chance to clean up his life. Just a dying breath used to say: "Lord, remember me." And Jesus blood running down His face Turned to this worthless criminal and promised: "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." No theologian's spin needed. No brilliant sermon required. No worship team or mood lighting. No haze machines or hip pastor. No coffee bar in the lobby. No small group sign-ups. Just a naked man dying on wood. Unable to move. Unable to serve. Unable to give. Unable to perform. Unable to impress. Unable to earn. All he could do was believe. Believe that the bloodied man next to him Was who He claimed to be. That was it. That was everything. He entered paradise the same hour as Christ. Not because of what he did. Because of who Jesus is. This criminal understood in his final moments What religious men spend lifetimes missing: Salvation isn't in your performance. It's in His promise. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." A thief. A cross. A Savior. A promise. THAT IS ENOUGH.

A Wall Street executive once told me shepherds were the ancient world’s janitors - bottom-feeders who couldn’t get real jobs. I told him that’s exactly why God chose that metaphor. He laughed. Said I was romanticizing poverty. I said no - I’m exposing how badly we’ve neutered the most violent leadership metaphor in Scripture. Your greeting cards show gentle Jesus carrying lambs. Your pastors preach green pastures. You’ve turned wolves into sheep. Ancient shepherds didn’t carry lambs because it was cute. They carried them because the lamb’s legs were broken - BY THE SHEPHERD - to stop it from wandering into death. They slept outside with predators circling. Real ones with teeth. David killed a lion and bear with his hands. A teenager wrestling predators to death because one sheep mattered that much. Their bodies were maps of scars. Every wound proof they stayed when hired hands ran. They smelled like dung and death. Temples wouldn’t let them testify. Society’s absolute bottom. And God looked at kings, priests, warriors - and said: “I’m like the guy who sleeps with animals.” That’s not beautiful. That’s scandalous. We turned shepherd’s rods into walking sticks. They weren’t. They were clubs with nails. Skull crushers. Shepherds knew which sheep had infected wounds. Which would bolt. Which would lead others off cliffs. Daily. Manually. Fingers in wool, checking parasites. Your pastor doesn’t want to know you like that. “The Lord is my shepherd” - The Creator comparing Himself to society’s rejects. “Valley of the shadow of death” - shepherds actually walked through death valleys. Went first, rod ready. “Your rod comforts me” - the skull-crusher comforts because your shepherd will get bloody for you. That’s not a greeting card. That’s a blood covenant. Jesus says “I AM the Good Shepherd.” Then distinguishes Himself from hired hands who run when wolves come. Your accountability partner? Hired hand watching hired hand. Your prosperity pastor? Hired hand. They run. Always. Ezekiel 34 - God says shepherds fed themselves while flocks starved. Then: “I am against the shepherds.” Against. Modern shepherds build buildings while souls starve. Never fought because never loved anything enough to bleed. Show me your pastor’s scars from real fights for real sheep. Can’t? Because we replaced shepherds with CEOs. Your grandfather’s faith had callouses. He knew shepherds die before letting wolves near you. You traded that for life coaches who smell like cologne instead of sheep. True power comes from protection, not position. The shepherd’s authority: he stood between sheep and death. Not title. Not education. Scars. Every scar said “I stayed.” Modern men can’t lead - never fought for anything. Want authority without scars. The Good Shepherd builds to crucifixion. Literal death. The Shepherd between wolves and you. The cross wasn’t leadership principle. It was losing on purpose to win. He entered death’s valley alone. Let it swallow Him. Broke its teeth from inside. Your binary choice: Jesus enters death’s valley for you, or you enter alone. No third option. What kind of man are you? Run when wolves circle? Or have shepherd scars? Shepherding isn’t calling, it’s choice. Daily. Sheep or self. The rod isn’t for walking. It’s for war. We made shepherds therapists when they should be warriors. Jesus carries lambs because He broke their legs to save them, now carries them until healed. Uncomfortable? Good. Love looks like scars. Leadership looks like staying. Shepherding looks like war. I don’t want hired hand accountability partners. I want shepherds who smell like sheep and fight like David. That executive was right - shepherds were bottom-feeders. Exactly why God chose them. Rock bottom teaches comfort is protection’s enemy. Your move. Follow the Shepherd with scars or explain to wolves why your accountability partner couldn’t make it.
