Letter: "The Wasatch mountains and canyons are the core of the Wasatch Front natural beauty. And now, these leaders have chosen to enable more manmade scars by pushing [the gondola] plan forward." trib.al/FhYaXr7
@sltrib The people have spoken… and the answer is they do not want a minority with power building a gondola that only they want!!
@sltrib Gondola is a good thing, do it mass trans and all,
@sltrib As someone who’s hiked the Alps and Dolomites, I cannot disagree more strongly. The gondolas there have 💯 aided in the preservation of natural beauty. Those countries have done a much better job than we have in that regard.
@sltrib No one wants a gondola. Maybe it is time to face reality about the capacity of ski resorts. It is not endless. We can't just keep cramming more people up the canyons. Maybe enough money is enough money for Alta and Snowbird.
@sltrib Seems like a gondola would do less damage than the road that’s already there.
@sltrib Amazing that then populace has voted a strong “No” on this project, yet the government still rams it through. What a disgusting display of self-serving, make me rich display by the land owners above La Camille and UDOT
@sltrib They’re not leaders. They are bought sycophants for the wealthy - ALEC. Utah is a theocracy, a searing violation of the First Amendment of our Constitution. And that Church VIOLATES the term of the 501 3c tax returns they file to avoid paying their share of Taxes.
@sltrib "Disneyland style attraction scar the states most treasured and scenic canyon?" Little dramatic, don't you think, SLTrib?
@sltrib Yes! The 2 hours bumper to bumper traffic is much better for the canyon and recreators.
