Statistics Canada estimates that there are 2,661,784 non-permanent residents in Canada. "Other" mainly refers to family members living with permit holders and TRP holders. It does not include the estimated 20,000 - 500,000 undocumented people in Canada.
@smeurrens Don’t believe there are only 100k visitors. Supervisa is allowing so many more seniors to visit longterm. Nobody “visiting” for 5-7yrs intends to move back. Most refer to parents moving to Canada on their supervisa. H&C apps have skyrocketed. PGP quota will dwarf H&C apps.
@smeurrens Mess liberals created just to cater to the big stores for cheap labour. Canada must cut down international students n workers to almost 50% if they wanna control this mess in next 3-4 years otherwise it ll be game over for Canada for their success story of immigration
@smeurrens Stats Canads numbers are unreliable. Is it from the census or are they simply taking raw document numbers and not cross referencing with entry / exit data from CBSA?
@smeurrens Its a bad number and it’s incredibly growing not a good sign
