I am a SBC pastor in Appalachia. I have lived in the mountains of western NC my entire life. I have pastored 3 churches and planted a church in the mountains. We need help. We need more pastors, more churches, revitalized churches, and training for bivo pastors.
If my young boys ever asked to wear their sisters’ dresses or makeup. It’s not my job to help them explore whether or not they’re a girl trapped in a boy’s body. It’s my job to say NO. You’re a boy. Boys don’t do that. That not being suppressive. That’s called being a good dad!

10 weeks into our new replant and already this once dying church is seeing new life. 2 baptisms and CHILDREN in worship! Children that represent our neighbors. Jesus has a plan for every church. It’s not easy work but it is rewarding work. Grateful for churches who do this work

I am a SBC pastor in Appalachia. I have lived in the mountains of western NC my entire life. I have pastored 3 churches and planted a church in the mountains. We need help. We need more pastors, more churches, revitalized churches, and training for bivo pastors.

I am all for only men “as qualified in scripture” being pastors in #sbc. But the qualifications go much deeper than gender.
Just saw Dune 2. Overall really good. But the movie does not get religion. Or at least the vision of religion is incomplete.
Nearly 75% of all SBC churches average less than 100 in worship & 46% average less than 50. Medium churches are declining and small ones getting smaller, much smaller. How about a future SBC Pastors Conference focused on the 3 out of four churches under 100?
