"Do you want us to do everything?" This is the most stupid and meaningless question I can ever imagine in medicine.
@snakagawa_md prbly is a dumb question in icu with family present, during second code in that room... i admit i have clarified with that statement before as it is quick and i need that answer super fast... so like they coded 30min prior sorry if that was wrong
@snakagawa_md @PulmCrit While I agree with the premise, sometimes we need to appease, diffuse and rerecruit people with different levels of knowledge (and guilt). Just b/c we agreed to do everything now, doesn’t mean we can’t re-engage and have another GOC discussion later when more processing occurred
@snakagawa_md Absolute cringe. Even though I may have said those words before I was properly taught.
@snakagawa_md I frequently encounter residents/APPs ask about code status in a similar way. It's always at the tail end of an H&P. They tell me they're taught to always ask code status on admission. it's always such an after thought, so they claim there's no time to spend more time on it.
