snapatar @snapatar

Snapatar is currently on hiatus. We're experiencing technical difficulties that we need to look into. Sorry about this.

We just pushed the oAuth version of Snapatar live. It's just as easy to use, more secure, and -unlike before- will still work on monday.

Snapatar just snapped its 1500th avatar. That comes down to four a day since it was launched.

Snapatar is getting ready for Twitter's switch to oAuth (http://bit.ly/bNMHgb). A test version is available at http://bit.ly/9ZeSMN .

Whoohoo, 1000 avatars generated with Snapatar! Today, @sunrays09 snapped the 1000th since we launched the site!

@geoffcox Looks good :)

Quick tip: After you use #snapatar, visit http://snapatar.com/recent to download the image and use it on other networks.

Snapatar service has been restored. An OS upgrade at our hosting company caused the upload script to fail. Hard to find, easy to fix.

I hate to say this, but don't user #snapatar right now. We're still looking into the issue with disappearing images.

It seems there's an issue where new images aren't properly updated. For now we're blaming Twitter, but we're looking into it :)

Haha this one's so cool. Wonder if there's an actual mirror involved or just clever webcam software. http://bit.ly/3kLhlQ
