Reminder: Forests are the natural hospitals for body and soul. You go in, no one asks you, no one gives you appointments for examinations, etc. You get what you need, and you feel better, and you are also delighted by the splendor and beauty. We need more forests worldwide.💚🌳🌲

@MrMatthewTodd Totally agree with this

#Octubre va a terminar con apenas precipitación en gran parte de #España, salvo en #Galicia, #Cantabrico, oeste/zonas altss de #Canarias y área mediterránea, donde algo lloverá Con el comienzo de noviembre las lluvias deberían ir ganando protagonismo🌧️, al menos en el noroeste y el área mediterránea

National Weather Service Confirms EF1 Tornado Struck Heber-Overgaard With Winds Reaching 110 MPH HEBER-OVERGAARD, Ariz. — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Flagstaff has confirmed that an EF1 tornado tore through Heber-Overgaard on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, producing estimated winds of 110 mph and leaving a damage path stretching more than nine miles. The findings were released Saturday, October 24, following a storm damage survey conducted by the National Weather Service. According to the preliminary report, the tornado touched down approximately five miles south-southwest of Heber-Overgaard at 6:59 p.m. and traveled north through the area, crossing State Route 260 before eventually dissipating near State Route 277 at approximately 7:10 p.m. The tornado remained on the ground for approximately 11 minutes, traveling 9.26 miles and reaching a maximum width of 350 yards. The NWS assigned the tornado an EF1 rating on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, with estimated peak winds of 110 mph, the highest wind speed within the EF1 classification. That puts it at the very top of the EF1 classification, just 1 mph below the EF2 wind-speed range. Rating Estimated wind speeds Damage classification: EF0 65–85 mph Light EF1 86–110 mph Moderate EF2 111–135 mph Considerable EF3 136–165 mph Severe EF4 166–200 mph Devastating EF5 Over 200 mph Incredible Survey crews documented significant damage to trees and roofs, particularly south of State Route 260 and in central Overgaard. Numerous trees were damaged as the tornado moved through the community. One non-life-threatening injury was reported. No fatalities were recorded. The National Weather Service emphasized that the findings remain preliminary and could be revised as additional information becomes available. The final assessment will be incorporated into the agency's official Storm Data records. The NWS also acknowledged the assistance of local and state emergency officials and Heber-Overgaard residents who provided information during the damage survey. @BlackmanForAZ @NWSFlagstaff

@WeatherAnalyser Great point!

Shelf cloud or wall cloud? While these thunderstorm features may look similar, they form in different parts of a storm. Shelf clouds are associated with outflow and strong winds, while wall clouds form beneath an updraft and may indicate tornado potential when rotating.
