@iamtrask I don't think Sutton disputes the utility of inherited learning for LLM's, however unexpected it may have been to him. He basically emphasizes developing algorithms and architectures capable of pure learning. policies that enable pure learning is precusor to creative operations

@knowclarified @tszzl I believe the word @RichardSSutton was missing is understanding. You can't effectively reproduce or imitate what you don't adequately understand. To your example, the tech model you get in your brain is only possible because you already understand some policies about the stack
