The NHS has got a big problem with whistleblowing culture. Disappointing to hear Chris Whitty hiding behind “both sides” toxicity re puberty blockers on R4 this morning, rather than highlighting the costs inflicted by activists on whistleblowers like Sonia Appleby who spoke out.
How on earth is the NHS supposed to prevent something like this again if the country’s most senior medics are too frit to say what needs to be said about how ideology trumped evidence in children’s healthcare? It’s so terribly poor.
@soniasodha I was deeply disappointed. It misses the point entirely.
@soniasodha He also didn’t explain why the report was commissioned after most of the damage had been done.
@soniasodha His willingness “to deliver” was what got him the position in the first place. June Raine as head of an MHRA providing safety oversight to the pharma industry is another. See it in the way they pandered to the US DoD on the Chimera the DoD built & “Vaccines” they supplied
@soniasodha Is it possible Whitty is aware of complexity of treating under 18's & wide use of off-label prescribing (relatively few meds tested on under-18s) so treading line between culture war moral panics and understanding array of evidence used, informed by practice as well as RCTs?
@soniasodha @AllisonPearson What do you expect from Whitty, I'm still waiting for his apology for lying about the jab and the amount of people who actually died OF Covid
