That reminds me I’m not writing fic anymore because I’m no longer really into long-form media. I quit gacha in favor of paid games, I only read standalone books and I pretty much stopped watching tv shows. My interest in writing fic is just not there anymore

Reading books again and am reminded that good fanfiction writing is often separate from good book writing. Fanfic is fun and addictive because you’re already familiar with the setting, world and characters and just want more of them.

4 books until I finish my reading goal for this year then I can go back to OlySoi. I neglected it because I’ve been in and out of the ENT for a couple of months and am wary about using earbuds too much and I can’t play without them

I'm really excited for Dragon Quest I & II Remake because I played the snes version of DQ I and it's very charming but decided not to play DQ II and wait for the remake. I'll probably get more JRPGs on my Switch. Steam is cheaper but the controls are easier on Switch

I just realized that I buy most of my “pretentious” books on kindle and almost never physically for the sake of my wrists (when they’re long) or because I almost never find them in bookshops. Reading on my phone or iPad makes me feel a bit less silly when reading in public
