I think you're right, but I also think there are people interested in discovering new products, although they may prefer products that are somehow selected, and that's where the launch platform comes in. You go there (or sign up for the newsletter) to see the three or four that got the most votes, period. I read Product Hunt's newsletter, I don't go look at the 300 launches a day. Additionally, the ICP is the founder, who by launching gets a page that will be indexed on a domain that, theoretically, will be more valuable to google and AI because others link to it. They get a backlink if they win (or pay). Anyway, I understand your point of view as a user browsing the site, but it's a business that, like social media schedulers, has dozens of successful examples (and hundreds of failed examples), so the market is there
