In our recent art session, everyone got their hands dirty (in the best way!) sculpting pumpkins & leaves from clay. Each unique piece came together to form a beautiful, collaborative clay pumpkin patch! Huge congratulations to all involved!
We’ve harvested our spring-planted carrots for the big carrot-growing competition! Each gardener guessed their biggest, then we measured them all. Great effort from everyone – and huge congrats to Roman for growing the largest carrot at 23cm!
Great to see our sports group getting stuck into rugby! They’ve been nailing key skills like passing backwards, with fun drills & games helping it all click. It’s more than just rugby — teamwork, communication & confidence are shining through!
"Grow it. Pick it. Plate it”! Our attendees have been busy growing a variety of vegetables, learning essential gardening techniques. Once harvested, the produce has been brought into the kitchen, where they have turned the fresh ingredients into a delicious homemade soup.
Created through the direct imprint of flowers that have been dipped in paint then pressed, attendees have collaborated to create this stunning piece of art.
Our first Scarecrow Festival was a great success with visitors voting for their favourite display. The fisherman scarecrow looking every bit the picture of relaxation made 'The Perfect Day' the winner. Huge congrats to everyone who participated. All displays looked fantastic.
We have been busy preparing for our first ever Scarecrow Festival. To see our creative masterpieces on display in our grounds you are welcome to visit us from Mon 30th June to Fri 4th July from 2.30-3.30pm. We look forward to welcoming you.
Our gardening group have visited Worden Park in Leyland to take a look and be inspired by the formal gardens. A visit wouldn't be complete without a picnic lunch and getting lost in the maze. A thoroughly enjoyable day.
Our attendees are thoroughly enjoying developing their skills around personal grooming including clothing choices and hair management. They have progressed to developing their ideas around interior design, creating a mood board of their personal choices for their own bedroom.
Huge thanks to David from Boxing for Better for facilitating a course of boxing sessions. We are learning new skills, improving our fitness and having lots of fun. This experience is certainly proving to be a big hit!
Our art groups have been busy producing this colourful floral artwork that is on display in our foyer. They have created their own drawings through directed drawing then applied colour using paint before bringing their work together to produce this collaborative piece.
We had a fabulous day yesterday with Nomad Rangers in the great outdoors at Bispham Hall. We have tried our hand at archery, axe throwing and tie dyeing, before learning how to start a fire and toast marshmallows. A huge thank you to Nomad Rangers for a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Our green fingered gardening group have been busy preparing our planters, hanging baskets and herb garden, we look forward to seeing these bloom and flourish in the coming weeks.
With a variety of themed activities we've had a wonderful time celebrating Easter. We've thoroughly enjoyed our Easter crafts, dancing, bingo and gameshow. Huge congratulations to our raffle prize winners. Happy Easter everyone!
We have been visited by Nomad Rangers who have facilitated an introduction to wet felting. Inspired by landscapes we have considered our colour choices and learned how to transform wool into felt. We would like to thank Nomad Rangers for presenting us with this new experience.
We are thoroughly enjoying using our imagination and creativity in expressive art. We have learned how to work together, using our bodies to create sculptures that suggest movies and animals. We are also learning to use our bodies in an exaggerated way to suggest emotions.
Spring has sprung and our gardening group have been very busy over the last few weeks in preparation. Tidying the grounds, preparing the polytunnel and planting our first seeds of the season.
Liquorice Allsorts have been our inspiration as we experienced drawing 3D shapes through directed drawing. Each attendee created individual pieces that have been brought together to create this final collaborative piece. Yummy looking art, that is good enough to eat!
We are pleased to have been able to donate a selection of wood products produced by our attendees in our wood workshop to Standish Busy Bees to place in their communal community spaces and to sell on their stall in upcoming events.
