U14s game this morning. 4-3 down, we score a goal which bounces back out off the wheel inside the goal. Everyone saw it go in. Ref (one of theirs) says no goal. Lino (their assistant coach) says no goal. We lose 4-3. Come on Feltham Tudors. Be better than that. Set an example.

Tough on Palace, although they are partly culpable as they could have changed their model. On the plus side Palace fans, the financial differences between the comps are not huge & the Conference League is a comp you could very much win. I imagine most football fans hope you do.

You know how FA Cup replays were scrapped to allow PL teams to play less games & rest players? No thought to small clubs who need the revenue (like Tamworth who drew with Spurs). As we speak, Man Utd are “resting” while playing a cash match in Hong Kong. The FA should be ashamed.

I know we talk about the riches on offer for the winner of the Utd v Spurs game. But the loser will reflect on one of their worst seasons in history while watching Villa, Newcastle, Forest & Palace play European football on TNT. We should all take comfort in that before tomorrow.
