We have managed to reduce the water levels at Currymoor to about 93%. This means the flood risk posed to the A361 has reduced and the council has decided to reopen the road.

This Week the Mobile Flood asset team have been doing some trills on Kentledge to support are barrier deployments . This is some great innovation so we can support are communities from flood now and in the future .

Last Friday it was great to meet with James Bevan at one of are Principle Depots We showed him through how the mobile assets team supports the business when we are in incidents .

We made the decision to deploy the barrier at 1600hrs on Sunday. After lots of phone calls we had • 160 tonnes of aggregate • 120 meters of defence • -7 degrees & Snow It was a logistical challenge but thanks to @MyDoncaster & #FieldTeam the defence was finished by 0200hrs.
Staff are all now home safely for some well earned rest after completing just under half a mile of temporary defences at #Walton lane ,tomorrow we start on the next 500metres.#TeamEA .@EnvAgencySE @MarkHill03 @Jennifer_Hil1 @johncurtinEA
