@KapteinLok De har alltid vært crap. Like overvurderte som Guns N' Roses.

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar Huh? When did I claim such a thing? I just pointed out that in 2026 you don't necessarily have to be there to know what's going on. I suppose you speak for all 50 states when talking about what's going on in America, yeah?

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar I don't, but when you portray Snyder as left wing it kinda makes me wonder.

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar But is he though? I'm a socialist and proud of it, Snyder is a liberal conservative. The issue is that what you now call conservative in the US is quite radical. For instance, schedule F.

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar You know, even if I live in America's "51 state" in Euorpe there's a thing called the Internet, and polling numbers sure seems to travel overseas.

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar Ofc I agree. As a historian, he knows that when democratic and constitutional frameworks are under direct attack, moderation or centrism no longer offers protection. Being moderate in the face of extremism is passive and just not enough.

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar I am not a fan of Snyder in particular. However, when centrists which have based their whole career on being moderate change their positions it's worthwhile to think about why. I won't get into Trump's approval rating, the numbers speak for themselves.

@DYLZAK @sharinyles @TimothyDSnyder @atrupar No. He's known in Norway, as in most countries, to be very pragmatic and not radical at all. Quite the opposite. Like Robert Paxton. That's why his, and Paxton's shift the recent years, should concern Americans, and the rest of the Western world aswell.
