If Strategy holds 1M BTC and Bitcoin hits $500,000, its BTC stack would be worth $500 billion. At a 2.0x mNAV, that implies a ~$1 TRILLION market cap. That would make Strategy roughly the 15th-largest company in the world by market cap. S&P500 inclusion is inevitable. $MSTR is going to Valhalla.

@financialcnspr @benjamincowen I never understood his type of analysis. I sometimes use moving averages or technical indicators to understand what type of regime we are in but I would never try time the market based on price action from almost 10 years ago.

Buy borrow die strategy. Instead of selling your Bitcoin and paying capital gains tax, you borrow money using your Bitcoin as collateral. If Bitcoin goes up in value, you can borrow more against it. You then use some of the new loan to pay off the old loan and keep the extra cash to spend. If Bitcoin keeps rising, you can keep repeating the process and you never need to sell it.

TLDR for lazy bones Bitcoin treasury companies should be tied to creating value per share and outperforming Bitcoin, not just growing the company, increasing market cap, or accumulating more crypto. Otherwise, executives could get rewarded even when shareholders would have been better off simply holding Bitcoin. They say Strive’s own compensation system is designed around this idea, using Bitcoin Yield for shorter-term incentives and performance versus Bitcoin over three years for long-term incentives. They criticize BitMine’s structure because targets like stock price, market cap, and ETH holdings could potentially be reached through issuing more shares and simply getting bigger. The author also says investors should separate legacy founder ownership from current management compensation. Overall, the message is that executive pay should attract good people, be transparent, and only deliver big rewards when management genuinely improves shareholder outcomes.
