@iMicrocap @HDFC_Bank Absolutely agree. I have been an Imperia customer for over 15 years but I don’t think they have extended any special privileges. In fact till about a week ago they had me on the business regalia credit card with no clear cut upgrade criteria.

@StayedHotel They have posted everything till now at least

Nine months ago, I didn’t even know “mattress run” was a term. Now I’m booking hotel nights purely to get closer to Accor Platinum. How far into points and miles is too far?

@DefinitAly If only they add a silver or gold status then it would be perfect. 😀

@KumarSanga2 @Ryanair I took a @Ryanair flight about 7-8 years ago and then decided never to fly again.

Sometimes, a trip abroad makes you appreciate home a little more. On my recent Europe trip, every flight I took was delayed. After landing, collecting baggage meant another 30–40 minutes of waiting—even with a “Priority” tag. One bag took a much longer detour. To KLM’s credit, they delivered it to my home address about 10 days later. It had quite the extended European holiday. 😅 It made me appreciate how often my journeys in India are straightforward: land, collect my bags and get on with the day. We rightly talk about what needs improving in India. But the things that work well deserve some appreciation too. Sometimes you have to travel a few thousand kilometres to notice what you’ve started taking for granted at home. 🇮🇳

@cards_wizard Will it be easier to replace an existing SBI credit card with the air India card when it launches?

Usually, the flight home is the part of a holiday I’m least excited about. This time, I was looking forward to it. While planning our return from Spain, I wanted to try SAS Business Class on the new Copenhagen–Mumbai route. Found availability for two and decided to give it a go. 76,500 points + around ₹9,000 in taxes per ticket. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. A proper lie-flat bed and impeccable service. By the end of the flight, I was glad I’d tried something different for the journey home. Spain gave us plenty of memories. SAS gave me one more reason to be happy with how I’d used my points. 🙂

✈️ ₹11.05 lakh worth of flights. 💳 470,000 credit card points. 💰 ₹88,464 paid in taxes. That’s how I booked our 9-night Europe trip

The biggest mistake tourists make in Japan is dragging a fifty-pound suitcase up and down subway stairs. Watch how Japanese travelers board the bullet train. They walk on with a cup of green tea, a small shoulder bag, and both hands free. Where is their luggage? It is already in the next city, waiting for them. In Japan, the system is called Takkyubin, recognizable everywhere by a logo of a mother black cat carrying her kitten gently in her mouth. When you check out of your hotel in Tokyo at eight in the morning, you hand your heavy suitcase to the front desk, fill out a tiny slip, and pay about twenty dollars. You can even send it straight from the corner convenience store. Then you spend the entire day wandering through mountain temples or eating street food with nothing on your back. When you walk into your traditional inn in Kyoto that evening, your suitcase is already standing neatly in your room, wiped clean, with the handle turned toward you. In fifty years of handling millions of bags a year, lost luggage is virtually unheard of. A society runs smoothly when you can hand your belongings to a stranger at a convenience store and know they will beat you to your hotel.

This is the beauty of sport. Even an expert can’t predict with certainty.

My two-night ibis Hyderabad stay just earned a 5,000-point ALL Accor+ ibis Megabonus, alongside the regular stay points. Went chasing status nights. Came back with reward points too. This is getting harder to explain to normal people 😂

What’s going on? The openers are making an absolute mockery of the New Zealand attack!

This is one perk which is very underrated but extremely useful!

To all the Accor fans! Recently checked out of one of the largest Ibis Styles room in the world, and it completely blew my expectations out ! 🌍✨ Located in Mysore, Ibis Styles Mysuru is miles away from your standard cookie-cutter business hotel. Let’s dive into this : 🧵👇

What an excellent last over by Prince Yadav. He has serious potential to become a world class death bowler for Team India.

@TheDolphinTalks Haha! Testing new waters. Have a Japan trip planned next year. Hopefully the platinum status should help.

@PointsGPT The problem is only one seat availability. Called them and asked for two business class seats and they said only one!

@jatinsapra Planning to transfer to JAL. Is the transfer instant?

@PointsGPT Accor counts all nights irrespective of how you pay. The only criteria is you have to book through the app.

I think anyone without a super premium credit card should watch this. Rove miles opens up so many redemption opportunities.
