Watching for the SOR/dyslexia outrage: Financial disclosure! Who do they work for??? [Narrator: All you can hear is the sound of crickets, hypocrisy, and $$$.]
@plthomasEdD Thanks for the free press for the Reading League! These two are excellent spokespeople for teaching reading based on science! Their body of work speaks to their credibility. If Emily was wrong in her work, she would have been sued by now.
@JennyWarnertr @plthomasEdD Emily is a reporter. How many children has she taught to read?
@JennyWarnertr @plthomasEdD But if I want to learn something I want to hear it from someone that has applied it and used it. If I’m a Dr learning about heart surgery I want to learn from a Dr. not a reporter that is reporting research.
@susiealq @plthomasEdD No idea she's a reporter, that's not her job. Her job is to report things relating to education. They have to do this thing called fact checking, and I'm pretty sure her reporting quoted lots of reading researchers.
