@swapapilots @Don_Shipman @SouthwestAir But, Herb once said that if he could figure out how to get the plane to fly itself, he would need pilots. Of course that was followed by his iconic laugh. He was a shrewd businessman, but cared for the employees dearly. He didn’t mind paying people what they were worth.
@swapapilots @SouthwestAir It was business under Herb, too, but he understood that without Employees there wouldn’t be a business. And if Employees are happy and respected, they’ll give Customers a better experience. It worked! Straying from that was unjustifiable.
