@sentimentrader Yep, the cushion read makes sense if dealers really are long that gamma. Open interest only shows contracts per strike, not who holds which side, so I'd be curious how much of the drop is expiry roll-off versus actual repositioning.

Fair question. The agentic engine trades 2 books with very specific entry criteria, and Monday didn’t meet them. Synapse itself reads the tape all day though, so the calls flip when the tape flips. That’s its read, not advice. It’s a different game, agentic vs manual. Happy to share more over DM!

Agreed on waiting. A failed breakdown gives you a clear spot to be wrong, and a dead tape like this one doesn't give you anything to lean on. Today was interesting to watch the tape on...not so much to trade. Synapse made several calls, but the majority of conviction strength 1 (out of 5). One of our backtests also suggested that sitting out Mondays generally could materially boost profitability 👀.
