This resident from Jamlah (W. #Daraa), who had a mental disability & was shot dead last night by Israeli soldiers during a raid in his village, is the latest in a growing list of crimes committed in the border areas. His body was taken away & later dumped in an open area near the border fence, where Civil Defense teams recovered it. See: x.com/EuphratesPost/… Israeli raids skyrocketed in recent weeks, sending a clear message aimed at courting the hardline, far right electorate ahead of the elections. These raids are accompanied by provocations that are reaching unprecedented levels: attacking livestock, destroying solar panels, destroying 100s of olive trees etc. - all visually documented. These actions are textbook occupation tactics of an area that didn't attack: make daily life harsher for residents to push them towards displacement & use overwhelming force in the case of any local resistance - which could then be used to justify why the occupation of the border areas was "necessary". Despite US statements praising Syria's stability & advocating economic recovery, these are the kinds of daily violations Trump turns a blind eye to - and no one within the IDF will ever be held accountable.
