@RealJamesWoods All of which are "unintended consequences"... political speak for mean completely intentional, of failed policies that were enacted to extend governmental power over the citizenry. Elected officials want power and the more helpless you are, the easier it is for them to take power

The concept of mandatory service has it positives, provides training and skill development, jump starts peoples professional careers, and gets many young people out of environments that stifle opportunity. However, mandatory service is antithetical with freedom. If mandatory service is okay, why wouldn't things like vaccine mandates not also be okay. I simply don't truth the government stopping at mandatory service, it will serve as a justification for more invasive policies that further destroys fundamental freedoms.

@DrFrankTurek makes a great point, acting moral and having a foundational reason to justify what is moral are two different concepts. Simply acting moral is not a justification within itself for the reason behind it being moral. Its either moral because of God or its your opinion

@ianmiles Right, @elonmusk has publicly explained this numerous times, apparently to deaf ears. He said SpaceX is rapidly developing advanced rocket technology and he would be surprised if their rockets didn't blow up during the first several test launches.

@VivekGRamaswamy Agreed, good distinction! Companies should be in the business of selling their product, not selling influence over culture.

How would values and morals come from a valueless and amoral process? There cannot be moral objectivity without a giver of the standard of which is measured against... making morality either a mental disorder or the product of mere narcissism. An atheists only conclusion could be as Dawkins says, there is nothing in the universe but pitiless indifference.

@ianmiles She thinks it's fine for all the other guys to be on that site and it's fine for her to play a role in facilitating it, until it impacts someone she cares about... her mom. Moral subjectivity... sign of narcissism.

@elonmusk There won't be because there are greedy people just waiting to take more power, money, and/or fame... even at the expense of others. There are also a ton of elites who just want us peasants to eat bugs for some sick reason...

@akafacehots Sitting around complaining about circumstances changes nothing and helps no one. Don't wait around for someone to notice you and give you an opportunity, you have the responsibility to seek out and prepare for future opportunities.
