There were too many voices in the echo chamber. Any internal dissent was met with dismissal or a victim complex so that was a no-go too. I know a lot of people are getting the impression no one tried talking like adults, but we did. (8/8)

and knowing the history of how things have went down in the past, the way it would've gone down was they would've locked down further and continued their behavior, including and most importantly the disregards towards boundaries. (7/8)

The point of this is mostly to say : I absolutely wish I'd spoken up more. I wish I'd said more directly and more recently. But as these were all about instances I wasn't even supposed to know about (as I wasn't in the server), (6/8)

and continued disregarding boundaries, under the influence of a (now-past) fan known to have stalked the boys (and still displaying bad behavior, ie admitting with no shame she'd sent nudes to one boy unsolicited and having sent her phone number as a donation to a stream). (5/8)

They and a few others were my first touchstone on getting connected. And when the server went a direction I was uncomfortable with, I did speak up! I said hey, I don't feel comfortable with the way the boys are being discussed and objectified - (3/8)

- I was new to the fandom and uncomfortable speaking up when the behavior began, and it went too long to speak up effectively. And here's the other side of that story: I've been in a server with 3 of the people involved literally since I started getting into the fanbase. (2/8)

re: @t_w_r_p_truths Look. I'm just gonna put it out there that the people in the doc were spoken to on various occasions by myself and friends. Discomforts with behavior were brought up. Maybe not as persistently as it should've been - (1/8)
