@tanulewicz @wsbtv Is it weather related? Because the storms were horrible this afternoon and evening. Can mess things up for hours.
@christicveach @wsbtv Yes, but — many of the diverted inbound flights departed after the weather passed ATL. I spent many MANY hours sleeping on the floor of the Montreal airport last summer (76 total in that hellscape) & it was a combo of weather, over-scheduling, not enough crew on ground & in air.
@tanulewicz @wsbtv How many were diverted? All of them? Or just one? Could be something wrong with the plane or unruly passengers?
@christicveach @wsbtv Nononono search @ATLairport and you’ll see
@tanulewicz @wsbtv @ATLairport I just looked. Do you realize the crazy weather and lightning we had here today? And next door in Bama? Unfortunately things get backed up, summer travel stinks without bad weather. It’s an all around bar day. Not Delta’s fault, nor the airport’s. Blame Mother Nature. ⛈️
@christicveach @wsbtv @ATLairport Yes, I am aware of what the weather was like today because I was here all day. Agree that it stinks. But @Delta needs to *share info on the situation* with stranded passengers. So does @ATLairport. Full stop, I know of what I speak, a little communication goes a long way.
@tanulewicz @wsbtv @ATLairport @Delta I’ll agree with that that completely. At the same time, as a representative, I know you understand we have much, much bigger fish to fry right now. Like fighting for our democracy, abortion rights and common sense gun reform. Thank you for listening, and for your public service.
