Rewatching farscape. Very enjoyable, loads of jokes, and not so subtle erotic references. That was still okay back then. Wondering how it would look in a modern rendering, given wouldn't be killed it by making it action only.

I have this "msaccess" stack, using Springboot, Vaadin, HSQLDB and Liquibase to quickly write simple apps. It would be nice if rudimentary high availability could be added. There used to be projects like ha-jdbc & c-jdbc, but these seemed to have died. That is really a shame.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds strikes the right balance between chain of command, comradeship, following orders, but not always (but believable), conflicts in making decisions. emotions, and tongue in cheek humor. It's not perfect, but it deserves a longer run than 5 seasons.

People are upset about the gamification by the Urkanian army. Basically it changes nothing: soldiers still try to kill other soldiers. But putting 10 points on a capture and 1 on a kill can make quite a positive difference: because it is much simpler to just kill, than to capture

The superman movie is actually quite good. There's a Marvel vibe, with the comical undertone and all, but with a director who made 3 marvel movies...🤷‍♂️ Superman was really human, like in the Lois and Clark series. Some was a bit too much, but overall: looking forward to supergirl

Zeker moeten we het leger opbouwen, maar investeren in tanks is misschien niet het slimste. Waar moeten we met die dingen oefenen? Laat dat aan Duitsland, doen wij schepen en vliegtuigen. En drones natuurlijk.
