“If you get it right for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable, you get it right for everyone.” At @Ofstednews, we’re going to keep saying it until we’re blue in the face. We have put inclusion - children with SEND and disadvantaged children - at the heart of our reforms. 🧵
A PD is given about formative assessment or whatever, and it is assumed that this will magically be embedded in classrooms. Come on. If there is one thing every principal should know about professional learning it's that it doesn't work that way.

One of the most frequently jarring things I see from people talking about education is people using the terms 'SEN' and 'low ability' as interchangeable or synonymous phrases. SEN does not mean 'low ability'.
