"Beginning to sink Peter cried out, ‘Lord, save me.’ Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?’" Matthew 14:30-31. Note well: this saving hand went out to doubt, not faith. Thus he keeps his own.

I’ve become convinced that what makes the difference for Christianity is the incarnation. No other faith says God became flesh... Christmas and the incarnation mean that God went to infinite lengths to make himself one whom we can know personally.
