You can estimate the total calories at (36 x 200) / (9 - 5x0.55) = 7200/6.25 = 1,152 calories ... chances are you will be within about 10%
Sorry...make that 200g (1000g is insanely huge :-)
As an example, say you have a burger and fries that you consider to be pretty high fat - say 55% by calories and you weigh it in at 1000g...
A pretty fatty restaurant burger w/cheese, bacon, etc. is usually no more than 50% to 60% fat by calories, same for pizza.
As a rule of thumb, a "low fat item" will be about 20% fat by calories, medium 35%, high about 50%, very high about 65%
It is not too difficult to estimate the fat calorie percentage or compare to other menu items that are similar
calories = (36 x total grams)/(9 - 5 x fat cal pct)
You can bring a portable food scale with you, and use this formula to determine approximate caloric content...
If you are going out to eat and want to stick to your diet but the restaurant doesn't offer caloric information, you can weigh your food
If there are some healthy fast food places or restaurants you have found in your area, please share them and I will RT!
Some good options are Chipotle, Subway, Wahoo's Fish Taco, Tokyo Joe's, and even McDonald's has healthy options.
Some have only a few "lighter" choices, some have a lot. You can add variety by finding healthy items on each and switching it up.
Depending on where you live there are lots of "fast food" places you can go that are healthy and/or post calories
