@colinhacks sqlx lets you write as "name!" when it guesses null wrong (views do this a lot). Any plans for something like that, or is coalesce the way?

@colinhacks This is great. I shipped the codegen version of this in Tetsu recently: Postgres describes each .sql file and a generator writes the types. Content mappers look like exactly what I’d swap that step for once 7.1 is stable. tetsujs.com/docs/database/…
@jarredsumner Fair point on CPU. For web teams I think familiarity still matters, just on the reading side now: LLMs write the code, someone on the team still reviews it. That’s the case I tried to make here: tetsujs.com/blog/why-types…
