ONANUGA; MEN OF YESTERDAY, BOYS OF TODAY News Magazine was founded in February 1993 by BAYO ONANUGA @aonanuga1956, Babafemi Ojodu, Dapo Olorunyomi, Kunle Ajibade, Idowu Obasa, Sani Kabir, and Seye Kehinde. They were all former staff of Concord Newspapers who protested because the Publisher of Concord, the late Chief MKO Abiola asked them to apologise to then military President Ibrahim Babangida over a very critical article they published against IBB's regime. The News Magazine published by the Independent Communications Network Limited, was known for it's Guerrilla journalism because of their bold reporting. A Magazine that stood firm in the fight then against the late General Sani Abacha. They were journalists respected then by Nigerians for their boldness in confronting dictatorship. They launched the @pmnewsnigeria in August 1994. Onanuga was the founding Editor-In-Chief of the Magazine. Now, take a look at the from page of this November 1997 edition; The CHAGOURY'S. HOW A FAMILY HIJACKED NIGERIA. With the happenings in Nigeria since May 29, 2023, one of the headlines of Bayo Onanuga's The News and PM news of the 90's would have been like 'TINUBU AND CHAGOURY'S; HOW TWO FAMILIES CAPTURED NIGERIA'. But that can't be now because the story is different today, as that same Onanuga is President Tinubu’s @officialABAT spokesman. Onanuga would rather defend that same man he called corrupt, that HIJACKED NIGERIA in the 90's. Today, Gilbert Chagoury is no longer corrupt. Today, Onanuga's principal awards the biggest contracts in our history to that same Chagoury, and he is doing so in a very corrupt manner without transpiracy and violating all procurement processes. Today, Onanuga's principal can bestow on that same Chagoury the second highest honour in our land, and that same Onanuga will see it as WELL DESERVED, and it is his duty to defend it. That is Bayo Onanuga's definition of PATRIOTISM, and you are UNPATRIOTIC if you criticise President Tinubu because of Chagoury today. Men of great courage yesterday, boys of a plate of ewedu mixed with gbegiri today. This is the BULABA SITUATION we now find ourselves of yesterday. @_PastorUmoEno My ever proactive Governor. Thumbs up Sire!

On this special occasion of Father's Day, I call upon all fathers to continue instilling the right moral principles in their children, enabling them to rise and fulfill their potential. Let us use this opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the urgent and critical role of fatherhood. We are like reflective mirrors to our children; let us ensure that we Imbue in them the right values and character so they will make us proud. As the Golden Era dawns, we remain committed to ensuring that we maintain peace and strengthen further the institutions for growth and development through our ARISE Agenda. Once again, I extend my Father's Day wishes to all fathers! God bless you all!

In furtherance of my commitment to ensuring food sufficiency and developing the full value chain for major crops in Akwa Ibom State, I made an unscheduled inspection of the Ibom Green House Technology facility along Airport Road, Uyo. I was impressed by the level of innovation and technological advancements at the facility. As we prioritize agribusiness growth in Akwa Ibom State, the Ibom Green House, and other strategic initiatives will play a vital role in transforming our agricultural landscape. Together, let us work towards achieving a self-sufficient and thriving agricultural sector in line with our A.R. I.S.E Agenda.

While coming back from the airport, I made a spontaneous stop to buy corn and spread "happy hour" cheers for the sellers. It's important to support our local farmers and create moments of positivity in our community. Together, let's embrace the joy of simple gestures that make a difference in people's lives.
