@chrisrshockley Send it! This is about as close as it gets to the kind of radical thank-you notes to living heroes I recommend to Vocationality clients.

@AdamVazquez It gets better! The cool part about being in your 40s is that you have a rough sense of what you do know and what you don’t know…and hopefully also what you want to know next.

@humanworkplace True, but keep in mind that the freedom typically goes both directions (I.e, The empire can go and work for someone else instead whenever they want). Not a perfect system, to be sure, but designed to allow for both of these freedoms.

@chronicleflask And then there’s Pique, which gets misspelled as both of these.

@chrismerritt @andrewramos You think if we got a million people to sign a petition to add “mark unread,” Apple would do anything about it? Seems to me this is one of those 21st-Century standard features…

@brannonmc @ThienAngst Yep! Laura, I second that emotion. Would highly recommend that to watch it all again, and finish it too!

@Liv_Boeree A better name for what you call Puritanism is Fundamentalism. A people group convinced they have a monopoly on truth. Puritanism historically has been contracted with Separatism (do we clean things up, or do we leave?). Thanks for the post—well needed!

@dustin Black Manhattan. I like to play around with which amaro to use (for instance, The classic Averna, or Nonino, Ramazzotti, Cynar, even Braulio?) and then which bitters go on top (Molasses? Lavender? Black walnut? Regan’s? Ginger?)

@humanworkplace If you think your passions are unrelated to your work, you’ve decided in advance to let your employer hire a dehumanized version of yourself. Subtracting passion from your work is a recipe for burnout every time. Just don’t do it.

@alissamarie I feel now like I must have dramatically misinterpreted Her. Or maybe it should have the subtitle “The Human Being in the Age of Mechanical, Self-Aware AI.”

@claysmith79 Love it. And there’s a clear question it begs: When do we get Highways 50 & 60? Did someone forget to build them? 😆

@melissafebos Yes, frequently. If I don’t already know the author, a “blurber” I know acts a little like a friend making an introduction. With that logic, though, I’d hope you only chose to blurb books you really care about.
