Idris Elba's Akuna Group and Google opened a free 12-week AI filmmaking academy for creators in five African countries, with applications closing Nov 15. Funding at the end goes to "a select few" teams, and the film fund has no published size.

Runway's new App Studio builds a custom creative app from a plain description, using your team's Brand Kits. It comes with paid plans, and anyone running a shared app pays with their own Runway credits. Only one early customer is named so far.

Zeeshi (@AIwithZeeshi) made a 15-second luxury beauty ad with Seedance 2.5 on Cuddler. The water physics and character design impress, and the slow motion and soft background read like a real beauty spot. The audio and skin tone let it down.

Nvidia and TCV invested in Higgsfield, the app that resells Seedance, Kling and Wan to AI filmmakers. Neither disclosed the amount. Higgsfield's $1B annual pace is four weeks of September revenue times 13, unaudited, and it buys Nvidia chips.
