@the_transit_guy We have level crossing barriers. Why can't we just use those at pedestrian crossings? No new technology required.

@the_transit_guy I think this is an overengineered solution to fix the problem... If you design the road properly and create a safe car culture, you don't need this. The proof is the Netherlands
