It's not about doing Data TO the organisation or IN A CORNER of the organisation, it's about doing Data WITH the organisation! There are many ways to make the 2 connect with each other but a KPI exercise is a good starting point to help bridge the gap between Data and Business.

Data doesn't come first! A SAVVY business question does: Specific Actionable Valuable to the company Valuable to another part of the ecosystem: customers, suppliers etc... Yummy! When things get tough, will it be worth going the extra mile because the Q is yummy enough?
