Michelle Obama almost left her marriage to Barack because he was selfish and patriarchal. Years later she tells a revisionist story about working through "discomfort" because she hit the cisheteropatriarchy jackpot bc he became president and thus she became extremely powerful.

There are a lot of "us" whose revolutionary politics revolve around vengeance against empire as opposed to compassion for our siblings and that's a growing concern of mine.

@astrofoxhole Yeah I feel like it has to do with folks’ need to constantly moralize/pathologize every part of existence & human behaviors. Things like drug use (medicinal or recreational) are inherently neutral imo Like we’re not even the only species that partakes (in both aspects, mind you)

Like if YOU want to forgive and forget (or whatever), fine, but let mfs have their retribution. Also, who said you cannot have compassion for others’ suffering and still remain vengeful when it comes to the ones doing the harm??? Are we all just one aspect of our existence??

I bought this vintage skirt on Etsy because it reminded me of my grandmothers bedspread. Yes, it was gold quilted lame, and yes, she was all that and a bag of chips. I think before it got into me sweaty little palms, this skirt must have been the life of the party 🙌❤️🙌

To be clear, I mean that a lot of wealthy folks (young ones included) are simply out of touch with any reality outside their own, and many have been known to also project/talk down on others, so ehhh

While I agree about not really worrying oneself over others’ lives/lifestyles, it’s a bit disingenuous to imply that folks are always *attacked/talked down on* for no reason

Because what is the SW dig about?? Also why would folks have to tell you this? I feel like anyone who’s been paying attention irl would have an idea about what’s reasonable to expect wrt age/finances/milestones and such

People on social media won't tell you their parents assist them with rent. They won't tell you they have an old man who sends them money monthly in exchange for sex. They won't tell you they started business with inherited money.
