THREAD: Behaviour – Just putting together some thoughts for our trainees and new teachers. I’ve tried to think about the most common mistakes I still see when it comes to managing behaviour. I've found doing this really useful for me as well.
So education providers should really consider committed teachers outside the US-EU dominance when they price their courses. It's already difficult to pay for them in euros/dollars/pounds. So keep us in mind if you want more diversity in your cohort.
First, they extended the school year by two weeks. Then, they announced students could substitute their first term grades for their second term grades. Then, they decided ALL schools would open for the final four weeks. Now they are saying the last two weeks are optional.

My school is starting synchronous-hybrid lessons next week. They also increased the class group sizes. And added more lesson blocks. Make it make sense.
This has been my ongoing struggle this entire year- especially during virtual/hybrid classes with young learners. I’ve spent almost the whole day re-formatting and organizing the way I give homework feedback... for probably the 5th time this year 🙃🙃🙃

In my virtual EFL classes, some students always defer to their parents for translation and validation. I feel like it is stunting their ability to autonomously interact with the language. Any tips for building confidence and independence in EFL learners in the virtual space?
We are six weeks into school and students are still having problems with Google Classroom... Despite what the admin has said, I really don’t feel confident that the families were appropriately prepared/coached for online classes.
