it's insane how the latest AI models feel like superintelligence one day, and then the next day they're complete morons over the smallest things
I wanted my agents to actually search my Notion
So the plan became: pull the whole workspace out, chunk it, embed it, and build a custom vector database
12+ hours later I'd burned about half my weekly usage on both my plans
I even had Fable and Astra review it separately
told them to be adversarial
explicitly said I was fine with nuking the whole thing and starting over
they found problems in the pipeline. we kept fixing the pipeline.
then I found it myself
Notion AI already embeds your workspace and runs vector search over it
Notion's own MCP can let agents search that content by meaning
Ofc a good part of this is on me and my lack of knowledge and I got caught up in making the approach work and kept pushing it along
but come on
I was specifically asking these models to challenge the approach entirely. Fresh independent adversarial reviews
checking whether the tool I AND THEY already use does the job should have been step one 😭🙏
I shouldn't have had to accidentally discover that after multiple independent reviews and 12 hours
spent half a day rebuilding retrieval before properly checking the retrieval I already had 😭
What feels better to y'all?
Managing Dev work by having them sorted as project folders and having the same persistent coding bot under each project?
Or
Managing Dev work by having a persistent bot as your project?
Same applies to non Dev/knowledge work
1 persistent bot who's job is Engineering and he codes across multiple projects
Or
1 bot completely scoped to a project specifically for engineering
Which and why
@kunchenguid I was being sarcastic/joking 😞( ⚈̥̥̥̥̥́⌢⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀)
Though my logic still stands
LLMs have been producing slop code and good code for a long while the same way they have been with content
The logic is sound
Was still playin tho 💔💔💔
I highly suggest you chuck the entire article into your ChatGPT/Codex and ask it to use your context to personalize the workflow to you and save it as a skill/playbook etc. x.com/i/article/2096…
Day 1/
We have optimized the default speed to be ~50% faster across GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol through the subscription across all our products and partners using Sign in With ChatGPT (including OpenCode, Pi, Amp, Devin, ...).
No changes needed on your end and this should be felt within the next two hours.
Over the next 28 days, each day we’ll either ship one thing that is a clear improvement and relevant for most codex/work users or ship a full reset. Let the improvements begin.
@maria_rcks #1 you have the option to literally NOT use it
#2 do you not ever want to just click a single button ask 20 different throwaway questions with the same context loaded so main thread doesn't get bloated?

All right, we’re locking in. Only things being worked on are simplifications, more efficiency for more usage, groundbreaking features or new models.
Sometimes you have to invest ahead of the curve, but feedback is clear that you all want things to get simpler. On it.
@BlockedPaths Of course you’ll be the first to say it, since your definition of slop is “I liked it a month ago but then I got banned from their discord for unhinged spamming in developer channels”
