@thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice @ThiomargaritaNA The thing with feminism is they wanted equality with men which is good but gov't backed on the agenda and saw a chance to tax 50% of the population they couldn't tax before. Now most women bring up kids, run a home.... and go to work too! Massive own goal for feminism
@TheLibertyGreen @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice Women now get to DECIDE what they want to do. I love my son but I DO NOT want to be a stay at home mom. I also love my job. I have zero issue with people who choose to stay home, but that's not what I want for myself.
@ThiomargaritaNA @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice That's fine but most women are still doing a lot of the child rearing and home making they've always done. They're just fitting in work now with that. Men shoulder more burden but still 90% of males don't have the homemaking or natural nurturing skills a woman has.
@TheLibertyGreen @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice Those skills are not "natural". Men can learn them just as easily if they wanted to. My husband is a perfect example. He's an equal partner in every sense of the word because his parents raised him right and I will raise my son the same way.
@ThiomargaritaNA @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice My husband was raised the same. He's very loving, very present and very hands on but when the kids fall over and graze their knee, they cry mum. If they fall over and hurt themselves down the park with my husband they say, I wanna go home n see mum
@TheLibertyGreen @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice Well my son doesn't do that because he knows both my husband and I can care for him when he's hurt.
@TheLibertyGreen @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice Cool. Then I don't see the issue. Let people decide what's best for them and you do you.
@ThiomargaritaNA @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @SeamusMacSuibh1 @cultured_spice If that's your conclusion you haven't listened to a word I've said. My very first sentence was women should do what's right for them. My point I was making was most women are 'empowered' to work but most of them are still doing the bulk of child rearing n home building too
@TheLibertyGreen @ThiomargaritaNA @thisisnothappen @MathsTapir @cultured_spice Respectfully, it's not clear what relevance that even had.
@SeamusMacSuibh1 @TheLibertyGreen @ThiomargaritaNA @MathsTapir @cultured_spice I imagine Dave’s missus is still shouldering the bulk of, if not all, childcare duties.
