Urgent Attention Needed: Unfair Practices Against Influencers on Snapchat I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to express my deep concerns regarding Snapchat's management and their alarming strategy that significantly undermines the growth and visibility of influencers on their platform. It has come to my attention, as well as to many in our community, that Snapchat is engaging in practices that not only stall the growth of certain influencers but also actively decrease their visibility and engagement rates. Many influencers, including myself, have noticed a drastic reduction in story views by tens of thousands, despite having a large and active follower base. It appears that Snapchat's algorithm is intentionally hiding our stories from a significant portion of our followers, severely impacting our ability to engage with our audience and grow our presence on the platform. The reason behind this, as speculated by many, is Snapchat's belief that influencers are incorporating advertisements into their accounts, prompting the platform to take aggressive actions to "kill" these accounts by reducing their visibility and engagement. Worse still, there have been instances where influencers' accounts were removed from their followers' lists without any prior notice or explanation. This action not only disrupts our connection with our audience but also raises serious questions about the transparency and fairness of Snapchat's policies towards content creators. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to Snapchat for clarification and to address these issues, the response has been disappointingly inadequate. The common advice to "turn off the Wi-Fi and try another connection" is not only unhelpful but also dismissive of the legitimate concerns raised by influencers who contribute significantly to the platform's vibrancy and engagement. This letter serves as a call for Snapchat to re-evaluate its approach towards influencers and to adopt a more transparent and fair policy that supports the growth and engagement of all users. Influencers play a crucial role in creating engaging content that attracts and retains users on the platform. It is imperative that Snapchat recognizes this contribution and works collaboratively with influencers to foster a positive and growth-oriented environment. I urge Snapchat's management to take immediate steps to address these concerns and to engage in an open dialogue with influencers to better understand the impact of their current strategies. It is in Snapchat's best interest to maintain a healthy and supportive relationship with content creators, as their success is intrinsically linked to the platform's overall appeal and user engagement. Thank you for taking the time to consider this important matter. I look forward to a constructive response and to working together towards a more inclusive and fair Snapchat community. #snapchat
