I need people to understand that next time they find something "uncomfy" in a story and they want it to be censored, this is ultimately the end result of that mindset. There is never any middle ground and the only people being hurt are the creators who make said works.

this. if you’re truly anti-AI that includes character AI, chatGPT, ALL OF IT. character AI steals from fanfiction writers to create the “characters” people talk to. chatGPT steals from writers. none of it is acceptable or okay to use. value writing the same way you do art.

AO3 does not need an app. AO3 does not need an algorithm. Nothing should be bumped to the top of the default browse except for new fics (which encourages posting) and you should be wholly responsible for filtering to find what you like. Very few websites are still like this.
