Theory based on mkI observations, dark roasts take up more volume than equally weighing lighter roasts, therefore the bloom can't be based on water volume alone.

New coffee day! Thanks @tradecoffeeco and @Sightglass !!! TipsyBrew POR just ran a BIG carafe to throw in the fridge in case the power goes out at TipsyBrew HQ! Yes I could do a manual pour over, but it is so disappointing after using a robot for over a year now.

So MkII will offer more adaptive control over this but in your opinion, when humans do the pour over, is it good or bad technique to get the cone this close to the edge?

If you haven't read the latest at tipsybrew.com/blog/2021-02-2…, the MEGA 2560 isn't going to cut it anymore so I am playing around with an ESP32 and wow is it faster.

I feel like a splash of dairy (or dairy sub) is like a splash of water in whiskey, it's not for all coffees but for certain ones it makes the flavors shine
