@Izayah_C @sxannnn you’re right, it’s not as simple as “just comply”.

@Izayah_C @sxannnn I’ve heard about those who died in police custody with no chance to fight their case, I wouldn’t deny that. YOU cannot deny that many people are able to have their voice heard in court. We can agree on both of these things.

@k4yw4y Kayla this is ridiculous. The definition says “accepting AND allowing”, something I would never do for police brutality!

@Ms_JuliaL Taking this into account I still believe it is important to talk about and teach things such as compliance, because it can only help even if only a little! Thanks for sharing your comment, glad I could clear this up.

@Ms_JuliaL I did not bring up compliance as a way to state that our police and criminal justice system is not the issue, because it is. The people are NOT the issue, and I understand that many fear for their lives in these situations (and may not be thinking clearly).

@k4yw4y Of course we learned those things! The criminal justice system disproportionately effects black people. My point still stands though because that doesn’t address compliance.

@adaysiaH @sxannnn I agree with that completely! It is all up to the cop when someone is complying and no one is disputing that fact. But there is nothing wrong with complying when it can help even just a little bit.
