He wasn't even bad today, him and Iliman Ndiaye were our best players in the first half, but that yellow card changed Enzo Maresca’s game plan in the second half, we always look a better team when he has players covering the gap he leaves for him, Rayan Cherki for the right wing with Doku and Ndiaye one of them making a super sub till Antoine Semenyo back in the squad. Tough games ahead of us, it's how we bounce back and react.

Cherki is one of the best players in the world at the moment no doubt…. But I still genuinely think he is droppable… Cause I do not understand the outrage from city fans because maresca dropped him at halftime to bring on foden… That brother had a bad first half And incase you guys have forgotten Cherki has never had a season like Foden PFA year!! So Foden is not just any player and we all saw Foden’s performance on and off the ball when he came in…

10 THINGS XABI ALONSO GOT WRONG TODAY 🧵 1. The formation. A 4-4-2 formation? It was a terrible tactical decision, and the team struggled badly with it. 2. Starting Quenda over Palestra. Why start Quenda when you have Palestra on the bench? What was the thinking behind that decision? 3. The striker situation. Why not start with a natural striker and bring Welbeck on for João Pedro? Why complicate things when you could have kept it simple? 4. The system wasn’t working at 25 minutes! It was clear the team was struggling. Why wait so long to make adjustments when the problems were already obvious? 5. Half-time came, and still no striker! You had 45 minutes to assess what was going wrong. Why didn’t you bring on a striker and change things up? 6. Why stick with the same formation? At half-time, you had the perfect opportunity to change the system. Why persist with a formation that clearly wasn’t working? 7. 60 minutes gone, and still no changes! What exactly were you waiting for? The game was slipping away, and you were still sitting on your hands. 8. Bringing on Palestra at 60-plus minutes. Why bring him on at that point? The team needed attacking changes, yet you chose to make a different adjustment. 9. Why keep Estêvão on until the 80th minute? What was the point of waiting that long before making a change? Why not react earlier? 10. Two goals down before bringing on Welbeck! You waited until the team was 2–0 down before introducing a striker. What exactly were you waiting for? Xabi Alonso got so many things wrong today. The formation, the starting XI, the in-game management and the timing of his substitutions. The warning signs were there early, but he waited far too long to react. This performance raises serious questions about his tactical decisions.
