Wales's blanket 20mph speed limits will be dropped by September, the nation’s new Labour Transport Secretary has said, after it was conceded they should never have been brought in. Turns out, 20 isn't plenty. dailysceptic.org/2024/04/24/wal…
@toadmeister Does anyone actually take any notice of them?
@toadmeister The lesson here is, that enough people object and do not comply, governments can be overruled.
@toadmeister Great. I hope Cambridgeshire does that because it's getting a bit annoying.
@toadmeister On a narrow residential street 20 mph is plenty. However on an arterial or a thoroughfare, no. Lower than reasonable limits do not improve traffic safety they do the opposite. People will travel at what is reasonable and safe for conditions regardless of what the sign says.
@toadmeister @tracey540854966 May this righteous awakening spread to England!
@toadmeister 'The science' and 'the experts' wrong again!
@toadmeister So a complete waste of taxpayers' money - again.
@toadmeister Once again, had they listened to me and opted for 25, there wouldn't have been a problem.
