On a quiet night like tonight, it's hard not to think about my ex and what I could have done in the past to save the relationship.... I think about him every single day.

My ex is leaving HK in December. I'm having a sleepless night, thinking about all the actions I didn't take which made him feel unsatisfied in the relationship. I realize there is very little chance I will move to the UK with him and it's going to be really the end of everything.

I'm sure coming out to my family and moving out would make things easier, but I wish I could find the courage to do these. It's easy to say that I need to look for happiness for myself, but there are so many factors which make things complicated.

I came out to more people over the years, mostly friends. Otherwise life is mostly the same: I still live with family, work in the same job, but having more friends, especially gay ones.

I don't know why I stopped tweeting. Previously, it has been my private diary of some sort. I guess I stopped because I could actually share my thoughts with someone when I was in a romantic relationship.

I've been trying to numb my feelings by trying to not feel anything today. Though gloomy, I never allowed myself to cry. All until I told my bf about the wallpaper and what it meant to me. Then we both cried.

My phone's wallpaper had been set to a photo I took on a hike with my bf when we first started dating. The photo showed the building he is living in and it always reminds me of his home. I changed it tonight as it has lost its meaning.

I feel bad and I have no one to talk to. Only a few friends know about our relationship. Another piece of evidence showing that the relationship was not totally healthy.

As he said, the feelings are just not there anymore. And there is no telling how the feelings will be found again. Coming out to my mom and moving in with him might not fix the problem. It might even aggravate the situation.

At least the relationship ended on good terms. But I shouldn't give false hope to myself, thinking that perhaps we can get together again in the future.

I wish I had done something to fix the situation. For example, moving in with him and not saying no to most of the activities that he had suggested that we could do together. But it's too late now. I can't fix anything now.

In a sense, I could see this coming. I've made too many wrong choices. But I also really valued our time together. He has given me so much help and made a lasting impact on me that I don't think I'll ever forget him.
