I hesitate to make this call — but the Kansas City Chiefs must seriously consider cutting ties with wide receiver Rashee Rice. The team’s 2023 second-round draft pick out of Southern Methodist University should be traded or released. kansascity.com/opinion/opn-co…
@torianoporter I don’t totally understand the “logic”. Why is it not okay for him to play in KC but perfectly fine to play somewhere else? Either he’s unfit to play in the NFL or he’s not. Never makes sense to me.
@mrhuber99 "a Chiefs playbook was left behind. In pro sports, a team’s playbook is sacred. Not only did Rice show disregard for public safety — he is fortunate he didn’t seriously injure someone or himself — his blatant disregard for important team documents should be a fireable offense."
@torianoporter Not saying I disagree but another team should trust him more? I was probably tying his situation with Kareem Hunts. No way he could play in KC yet it was ok for him to play in Cleveland? To clarify if Mahomes did what Rice did you would have same opinion?
Been around this game a long time and I know nothing of your background whatsoever, or the time you’ve spent covering pro athletes. What Rice did was very bad and he was lucky no serious injuries occurred or loss of life. With that said with respect to your opinion, you are way off base stating he should be kicked off the team. I suggest you do some research on athletes who have done far worse in the NFL, MLB, NBA and in the college ranks. Some have been given multiple chances even after actual lives were lost. He made a big mistake but he deserves a chance at redemption. As far as the playbook, I suggest you research that as well. Happy to debate this topic anytime!
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 LOL. You realize that other teams have all the Chiefs plays, right? They literally have the film. Coaches on KC's staff get hired elsewhere. Further, Rice didn't lose the playbook. It's still his property and no other team has access.
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 Still doesn’t make sense… not to play for KC but play for another team lol y’all internet opinions are laughable
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 This take is a fireable offense
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 Fired for leaving a playbook behind… that seems a little harsh. Dude made some mistakes and there needs to be consequences, but not sure leaving the playbook is the one you focus on.
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 A chiefs playbook? You’re saying they have a physical playbook or was it a tablet?
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 playbooks are not that valuable lmao. first thing anybody does when they join a new team is hand over the old team playbook.
@torianoporter @mrhuber99 Doubling down on your hypocritic take I see.
