As we advance our models of care and integrate new team roles we know it's essential to pay attention to HOW we work together, optimizing the scope of all team members. Today we used real scenarios to enhance communication, collaboration, trust and respect, through simulation.
Filled with hope as nurses across the province gathered for the Health Canada Nursing Retention Forum, led by our Chief Nursing Officer, Dr Leigh Chapman, to improve the lives of nurses in Canada.
Thank you for leading the organization wide surface assessment. We know hospital bed mattresses (i.e. surfaces) are high-use equipment that if not well maintained, increase risk of pressure injury and pathogen transmission. Thank you for keeping patients safe.

Today we shared our gratitude with nurses in the Veteran's Centre. We deeply appreciate all that you do to bring meaning to the lives of our Veterans and residents. And we were so pleased to meet students (our future nurses) on their first day of clinical.
As we celebrate National Nursing Week, I want to send my deepest gratitude to Sunnybrook nurses who give their all to deliver exceptional, quality care to our entire community. Today I joined our RCC team, as a small way to say thank you for their care and compassion.
