Aquaplaning or hydroplaning is the loss of grip as water is pushed between your tyres and the road. To avoid it happening, slow down in wet conditions & regularly replace your tyres. #ReadyForWinter #TyreSafetyMonth

The legal tread depth limit for cars, vans, and all vehicles below 3.5 tons is 1.6mm; 1mm for motorcycles over 50cc. A potential £2,500 fine and three penalty points can be applied on each tyre if found to be below those limits.

Don’t forget that the fine for failing to comply with the minimum legal tread depth puts you at risk of a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points for EACH defective tyre. #CheckTyres

Tyres that are just 20% underinflated can reduce fuel economy by 3%, adding unnecessary extra cost to your business. If your fleet cover a lot of miles, that’s a lot of wasted money.
